Ava Carlson made an incredible save to keep the Big Green alive. Carlson denied four of the six shooters in the shootout, including each of the last three.
Â
ALL-TIME VS. PRINCETON
Princeton leads the all-time series, 31-8-2, with Dartmouth's last win coming in 2011 via a 2-1 final. The Tigers have won 10 in a row, with last season's meeting being a slim 2-1 Princeton victory, the closest margin in the series since the Big Green's victory at home on Sept. 17, 2011. Since that point, Princeton has won five straight in Hanover.
Â
SCOUTING PRINCETON
Defending Ivy League Champion Princeton has struggled this season in entering Saturday 5-8 overall and 3-2 in the league. However, the Tigers have played a challenging nonleague schedule with the likes of Louisville, North Carolina, Rutgers, Maryland and more. In Ivy play, Princeton has beaten Columbia, Cornell and Brown while falling to Penn and Harvard. Four student-athletes lead the team with six points apiece, including Bridget Murphy whose three goals are tops on the Tigers. Robyn Thompson has started all 13 games in goal, recording a 1.98 goals against average and 74.5 save percentage.
Â
ALL-TIME VS. UMASS
UMass leads the all-time series with Dartmouth, 23-11. The teams last played in 2019, a 1-0 Minutewomen victory in Hanover. The teams played the year prior at UMass and saw the Big Green pick up a 4-3 win. Dartmouth has won three of its last four meetings at UMass.
Â
SCOUTING UMASS
UMass enters the weekend 9-6 and 3-2 in the Atlantic 10, ranked No. 19 in the most recent NFHCA Poll. The Minutewomen most recently won at Davidson last weekend, 3-2, which followed a 3-1 home win over UConn five days prior. Mali Herberhold leads the team in points with 14 via five goals and four assists. Jess Beech is second with 11 points, also scoring five goals and dishing an assist. Myrte Van Herwijnen has seen the majority of time in goal, tallying a 1.48 goals against average and 80.4 save percentage.

ODDS AND ENDS

- Sunday's shootout vs. Sacred Heart was Dartmouth's first since the 2021 season opener, which was head coach
Mark Egner's debut at UC Davis and also a Big Green victory.
