Nikita Nikora were recipients of weekly awards from ECAC Hockey, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Black was named the MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week while Nikora received Rookie of the Week recognition.

Black made 67 saves over the course of two games in a 1-0-1 weekend for the Big Green. He made 31 saves on Friday evening as Dartmouth tied No. 7 Cornell, 2-2, at Lynah Rink, helping the team to a point in the standings. The following night, Black made 36 stops, including a penalty shot in the second period, to pick up his second win of the season as the Big Green claimed a 3-2 overtime victory against Colgate. This is the second career weekly award for Black, with his first coming in November of 2022.

Nikora tallied his first career goal in the victory over Colgate on Saturday. It came at a great time as his goal came in the overtime period to give the Big Green their second win of the season and an extra point in the standings. The previous night, Nikora recorded his fifth assist of the year after assisting on Dartmouth's first goal of the game.

Dartmouth takes a break from league play, next taking on UConn in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, Nov. 25 at the XL Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m. and the game will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.

Notes: This is the second straight week in which a Big Green athlete has received an ECAC Hockey weekly award as
CJ Foley was named the Defender of the Week just a week ago… Nikora is Dartmouth's first league Rookie of the Week since
Alex Krause earned the accolade on Jan. 16, 2023.
