Fifth Annual Forever Big Green Challenge Underway

Challenge set to run from Nov. 14 to Nov. 28
HANOVER, N.H. — The 2023 version of the Forever Big Green Challenge launched on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and runs through Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28). The goal of the challenge is to secure 2,500 gifts, which if met, would trigger a $250,000 gift from the Dartmouth Athletics Advisory Board (DAAB) to the Athletic Director's Fund for Excellence.
Each of the 19 varsity sport friends' groups, as well as the AD's Fund and Athletic Sponsors Recruiting Fund, have goals that when combined, total 2,500 gifts.
The initial challenge in 2019 launched at kickoff of the Big Green's game vs. Princeton at Yankee Stadium and has been a success each year of its existence. Over the previous four years, more than $7 million has been raised as part of the Forever Big Green Challenge. These resources provide each of the varsity sport teams with critical resources that support a variety of programmatic needs and enhancements, including team travel, equipment and technology and the hiring and retention of assistant coaches. The AD's Fund for Excellence provides unrestricted resources to benefit the entire athletic department while the Athletic Sponsors Recruiting Fund supports official visits for prospective student-athletes.
