NON-CONFERENCE TILTS
The Dartmouth women's hockey team takes a break from ECAC Hockey play this week with two non-conference contests on deck. The Big Green host Post on Wednesday afternoon before heading to Maine to take on the Black Bears on Saturday. The matchup against Maine will be a neutral site game as it will be played at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine.

LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green took on two nationally ranked ECAC Hockey opponents this past weekend in No. 5 Clarkson and No. 8 St. Lawrence. The Golden Knights claimed a 5-0 win on Friday evening while Saturday's game was an 11-goal thriller that featured five different goal scorers for Dartmouth.

Cally Dixon each scored, with Fuoco's and Dixon's goal coming on the power play in the final moments.

Mia Buonarosa and
Izee Powell each had two assists while Dixon and Messner both added an assist to finish with two points as well.

WELCOME BACK GRETCHEN (ULION) SILVERMAN '94!
Gretchen (Ulion) Silverman, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1994, is currently in her second season as the head coach of the Post women's ice hockey team.

Longtime supporters of the Big Green women's hockey team may recognize that name, and that's because it's etched throughout the program record books.
Â
One of the greatest to wear the Green and White, Silverman is the program's all-time leader in goals (189) and points (312). A two-time Ivy League Player of the Year, Silverman went on to represent the United States on the grandest stage of them all, helping the Red, White and Blue to a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Silverman was later inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.

SCOUTING POST
Post comes into Wednesday's game with a 3-14-0 overall and a 3-9-0 record in the NEWHA. The Eagles were swept by LIU over the weekend, 4-0 and 6-0.

Julia Wysocki has a team-high three goals while Sajel Desai, Maddy Noonan, Rylee Patfield and Macy Peterson all have two. Noonan leads the team in assists with four. Celena Mickevicius and Peterson are right behind with three apiece.

Post has utilized three goaltenders this year, with Grace Glasrud and Hannah Saunders splitting most of the minutes. They have combined to make 600 saves and have allowed 60 goals.

The Big Green are 3-0 all-time against the Eagles. Dartmouth won last season's matchup 6-0 at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton, Connecticut. The two teams met for the first time during the 2021-22 season for two games in early December that year, with the Big Green claiming 4-2 and 8-1 wins.

SCOUTING MAINE
Maine enters the weekend with an 8-8-0 overall record and a 6-6-0 record in Hockey East. The Black Bears are currently on a four-game winning streak with their most recent victory being a 6-0 triumph over Holy Cross.

Two players are in double digits for goals as Ida Kuoppala has 14 and Ann-Frederique Guay has 12. Rahel Enzler has a team-high 12 assists. Kuoppala sits second with seven.

Maine has used three goaltenders this season as Julia Bachetti, Jorden Mattison and Anna LaRose have all seen time between the pipes. They have combined to make 400 saves with a .920 saves percentage.

The Big Green are 14-6-0 all-time against the Black Bears. It's been several years since the last matchup, as Dartmouth defeated Maine, 5-2, at Thompson Arena back on Nov. 30, 2019.

WHAT'S AHEAD
Dartmouth will be off for a few weeks before returning to action just before the start of the New Year, taking on Granite State rival UNH on Sunday, Dec. 31 at the Whittemore Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the game will be available to stream nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet while fans in Canada will be able to enjoy the game on TSN+.
