MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The Dartmouth women's squash team picked up a dominant victory over the Middlebury Panthers Wednesday afternoon. The No. 10 Big Green toppled the No. 16 Panthers by a result of 8-1 to snap a six-match skid and return to the win column in emphatic fashion.
The Big Green secured four sweeps, as
Priya Verma,
Aubrey Lennon,
Callie Worth and
Devon Glaser each won in three sets. Dartmouth extended a dominant streak over the Panthers and have not conceded more than one match against Middlebury in the last six meetings, dating back to 2017.
At position No. 1,
Claire Aube won a hard-fought matchup against Lindsey Burnham in five sets. The senior took a 2-0 lead but found herself in a decisive fifth frame after close loses in sets three and four. Aube emphatically took the final set, 11-4, to claim the point for the Big Green.
Emily Schuster gutted out an impressive win at position No. 2, defeating Middlebury's Abby Ronda in five sets. Schuster won the final frame, 15-13 to secure the point.
Ellie Burke defeated Izzy Ronda in four sets to allow Dartmouth to sweep positions one through three.
Middlebury's lone point came via default at position No. 4.
The Big Green are back in action this weekend for a non-conference matchup against Williams on Saturday. The match is slated to begin at noon.
