HANOVER, N.H. — Junior
Dusan Neskovic of the Dartmouth men's basketball team was recognized by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday as a member of the Academic All-District® Team. The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Neskovic currently stands third on the Big Green in scoring, while owning an impressive cumulative grade point average of 3.63.
Neskovic joins a long list of Dartmouth honorees over the years, most recently
Aaryn Rai last year, who made the five-man team for District I. The selection process has since changed and now includes more student-athletes. This year, Neskovic is one of nine men's basketball student-athletes from the Ivy League recognized.
On the court, Neskovic has enjoyed a strong junior season. Along with averaging 11.9 points per game, he's averaging 3.3 rebounds per contest while dishing 24 assists. He's shooting 47.6 percent from the floor, including 40.7 percent from 3-point range. Neskovic has eclipsed 20 points on four occasions, including twice vs. Princeton, at Yale and at Fordham in the season opener. He played an integral role in big Ivy League victories at Yale and home vs. Princeton, scoring a career-high 24 points and 21 points, respectively.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March. Neskovic will be vying to become Dartmouth's first Academic All-American since James Foye in 2019-20.
Neskovic and the Big Green return to the court on Saturday at Penn. Gametime is set for 2 p.m.
