HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team fell to Princeton, 7-3, in ECAC Hockey and Ivy League action on Friday evening at Thompson Arena. The Big Green move to 4-18-1, 3-12-1 on the season while Princeton improves to 11-12-0, 7-9-0. The Tigers scored five goals in the third period to take the victory.

Tyler Campbell,
Luke Haymes, and
Sean Chisholm each scored for the Big Green.
Tanner Palocsik assisted on all three goals while Haymes also had two assists.

Ian Murphy led the way for the Tigers with three goals. Tyler Rubin, Nick Seitz, Liam Gorman, and Joe Berg each scored once.

Princeton jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a late first period goal followed by a power play goal inside the first 90 seconds of the second period.

Dartmouth cut into the deficit five minutes later when Campbell scored his fourth goal of the season. Palocsik took a shot from the point that was initially saved by Princeton goaltender Ethan Pearson. The rebound fell just outside the crease, and Campbell pounced on the loose puck to tap it into the back of the net.

The Big Green tied the game, 2-2, midway through the frame when Haymes scored the first of two power play goals of the night for Dartmouth. After going on a 5v3 advantage, Palocsik passed the puck to Haymes in the neutral zone. Haymes then skated towards goal before firing a shot from the right circle passed Pearson's right side.

Princeton regained the lead two and a half minutes into the third period with their second power play goal of the evening. Murphy took a shot from the left circle that snuck past Dartmouth goaltender
Cooper Black.

Dartmouth immediately answered with another power play goal just 15 seconds later. After the Tigers picked up a slashing penalty, the Big Green won the ensuing faceoff in the offensive zone. Chisholm wasted no time, ripping a shot from the left circle through traffic into the far side of the net to once again even the game.

Princeton scored four goals in the final nine minutes, including two empty net goals, to take a 7-3 victory.

Black finished with 33 saves and the Big Green blocked a total of 16 shots.

Dartmouth is back in action on Saturday evening against No. 2 Quinnipiac. Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be available to stream on ESPN+, internationally on Stretch Internet, and regionally on NESN.
