HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's hockey team takes the ice in ECAC Hockey competition at Thompson Arena for its final two home games of the 2022-23 season. The Big Green take on St. Lawrence Friday, February 10 before battling No. 9/10 Clarkson the following afternoon to celebrate Senior Day.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green last took the ice last weekend for a pair of ECAC Hockey games at Thompson Arena. Dartmouth first battled then-No. 6/6 Quinnipiac Friday, February 3 before a tilt against Princeton the following day.
Dartmouth was defeated by Quinnipiac as the Bobcats scored five goals in the third period to claim an 8-0 win. Quinnipiac secured the season series with the road victory over the Big Green.
Lauren Messier opened the scoring in Dartmouth's tilt against Princeton following a strong individual effort. However, a pair of goals in less than a minute from the Tigers lifted the road team over the Big Green by a score of 2-1.
Sophomore goaltender
Maggie Emerson stopped 31 of the 33 shots on goal she faced from the Tigers in Dartmouth's last contest.
ONE LAST TIME AT THOMPSON
The Big Green close out their home schedule with two final contests at Thompson Arena. Dartmouth looks to improve upon its record in Hanover with a pair of conference victories.
Dartmouth holds a 1-10-0 record at Thompson Arena, with the team's lone home victory coming against Union in ECAC Hockey competition on January 20.
The Big Green look to conclude their home slate on a high note with wins over St. Lawrence and Clarkson in Hanover. A pair of wins this weekend would mark the program's first home sweep in ECAC Hockey competition since January 13-14, 2017 (2-1 vs. Union, 2-1 (OT) vs. RPI).
SCOUTING ST. LAWRENCE
St. Lawrence enters this weekend looking to solidify its position in the ECAC Hockey playoffs. The Saints sit in seventh place in the conference standings, firmly landing them in the tournament, which features the top eight programs.
The Saints are led offensively by junior forward Julia Gosling. She leads the program in goals (16), assists (22) and points (38). She came up large for St. Lawrence in its last contest on February 4 against Cornell, as she scored the overtime game-winning goal to propel her team to a 3-2 victory.
Lucy Morgan has started 29 contests for the Saints and holds a save percentage of .912 and a goals against average of 2.37.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE SAINTS
St. Lawrence holds a 40-32-4 advantage against Dartmouth in the all-time series and has won eight of the last 10 meetings between the teams.
Last year, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence split the season series. The Big Green won the first matchup in Canton, New York, 6-2 before the Saints returned the favor with a 6-2 win in Hanover.
Earlier this season, St. Lawrence picked up a 4-2 victory over the Big Green in Canton, New York. The Saints overpowered Dartmouth with 33 shots compared to the Big Green's 22 and scored a pair of goals in the both the first and third periods.
SCOUTING CLARKSON
Clarkson heads to Hanover ranked in the top-10 of both national polls. The Golden Knights have clinched a berth in the ECAC Hockey tournament and sit in the No. 4 position in the conference.
Last weekend, the Golden Knights split a home weekend, defeating Cornell by a score of 2-1 before falling in a close tilt to Colgate, 2-0 the following day.
Clarkson features three players who have scored 35 points or more this season. Gabrielle David (42), Anne Cherkowski (30) and Darcie Lappan (35) have led the Golden Knights offensively during the 2022-23 campaign.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Clarkson leads the all-time series against the Big Green, 29-13-5. The Golden Knights have won nine of the last 10 meetings, including the first matchup of this year's season series in Potsdam, New York.
The Golden Knights knocked off Dartmouth by a score of 5-0 earlier this season. Dartmouth looks to secure its first win over Clarkson since the 2019 season, when the Big Green picked up a 3-2 overtime victory in Hanover.

The Big Green are set to celebrate five seniors following their final home game against Clarkson this Saturday.
