CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team was upended, 4-1, by No. 69 Harvard in Saturday's Ivy League opener at the Murr Center.
Katie Weber and
Brooke Hess were victorious at No. 2 doubles and
Ujvala Jupalli picked up a win at No. 5 singles, but those efforts weren't enough to hold off the Crimson, who notched the doubles point and went on to clinch the 4-1 decision.
The Weber and
Brooke Hess pairing improved to 8-3 on the season and have now won three straight on Court 2. Jupalli is a winner of back-to-back matches at No. 5 singles, having recently helped guide the Big Green to a 7-0 win over Arkansas Tech.
Emily Zhou and
Brooke Hess were both locked in close three-set battles when Harvard's 4-1 victory was sealed.
Ivy League action resumes in Hanover when the Big Green host Brown on Friday, April 7 at 2 p.m.
