Young Alumni Fundraising Challenge to Launch on June 15

HANOVER, N.H. — With the end of the fiscal year quickly approaching at the end of June, Dartmouth Athletics is pleased to announce the inception of its Young Alumni Fundraising Challenge, which will start on Thursday, June 15 and run through Friday, June 30. This fundraising initiative is part of the year-long Friends' fundraising program, which provides over $7 million in unrestricted support across varsity and club sports.

The challenge will focus on Dartmouth's youngest alumni, from the classes of 2014 through 2023, and encourage participation through a friendly competition among varsity sport programs. In addition, the challenge will be structured based on percentage of young alumni donors in one division (removing the four-division format from previous challenges) and will be comprehensive in nature, meaning that all gifts from the 2023 fiscal year will count and the standings at the start of the challenge will reflect all gifts received since July 1, 2022.

The goals of the challenge include:

Educating young alumni on the importance of financial support for our athletic teams
Increasing young alumni donors to each varsity program
Engaging new volunteers to help with our annual efforts to support the programs
Creating energy around the year-end fundraising from those who have most recently participated in athletics at Dartmouth.
