WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Dartmouth men's lightweight rowing team ended their weekend with the third and final day of the IRA National Regatta on Sunday at Mercer Lake. The day was highlighted by a Big Green win in the Varsity Eight petite final.
Dartmouth won the petite final with a time of 5:51.699, beating MIT, who finished with a time of 5:55.487. The Big Green held the edge throughout the race before crossing the finish line first to claim the win.
Earlier in the day, the Second Varsity Eight competed in the grand final, finishing with a time of 5:59.490 to take seventh. Princeton took the win to earn the gold with a time of 5:48.970. Harvard took silver with a time of followed by 5:51.450 followed by Yale, earning bronze, with a time of 5:52.440.
Princeton took home the overall title with 54 points. Harvard claimed second with 50 points while Navy and Penn tied for third with 40 points. Cornell and Yale tied for fifth place with 36 points, followed by Dartmouth (27) in seventh and MIT (15) in eighth.
