SEASON OPENING WEEKEND
Dartmouth opens the 2023 season with two games this weekend. The Big Green take on Eastern Michigan on Friday evening at Burnham Field in just the second-ever matchup between the two sides. Dartmouth then hits the road for its first away game of the season, facing Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon.
LAST SEASON
The Big Green finished the 2022 season with an 8-7-2, 1-5-1 record. They opened the year with 2-0 victories over Fordham and Sacred Heart. After going 0-1-1 in the next two games, Dartmouth rattled off three straight victories, defeating LIU (2-0), Fairfield (2-1) and Vermont (2-1). After hitting a road bump with a 0-3-1 stretch, the Big Green returned to the win column with three straight triumphs, claiming victories over Merrimack (3-2), Penn (1-0) and Colby-Sawyer (7-0).
Three student-athletes received recognition from the Ivy League for their play during the season.
Charlotte Cyr '23 and
Allie Winstanley '23 were named to the All-Ivy First Team while
Mary Lundregan was named honorable mention.
A NEW ERA
Taylor Schram was announced as the Stacy and Nick Branca Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer on December 15, 2022. A former assistant on the Big Green coaching staff, Schram returned to Hanover after spending a year and half as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Boston College.
ALL-IVY RETURNERS
Lundregan was named All-Ivy honorable mention a season ago after finishing with a team-high seven assists, the second-most in the Ivy League at the conclusion of the regular season.
Hannah Curtin, an All-Ivy Second Team and NEWISA All-New England Third Team selection in 2021, will be in the forward line once again for the Big Green.

Six members of the Class of 2027 joined the Big Green's women's soccer program for the 2023 season:

SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN
Eastern Michigan enters Friday's matchup with a 0-1-1 record. The Eagles played to a 2-2 tie against St. Bonaventure in the season opener before falling to Oakland, 1-0, on Sunday.
Meagan Lukowski and Kate Robinson each tallied a goal in the opener. Ella Holland has started both games in goal, making two saves thus far.
Eastern Michigan finished 3-11-4 overall and 2-7-2 in conference play in 2022. All three wins came on the road against Illinois State, Akron and Western Michigan.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE EAGLES
This will be just the second-ever matchup between the Big Green and the Eagles. The two teams opened the series history last year when Dartmouth made the trip to Michigan early in the season.
The game, played indoors at the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Michigan, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Aleena Seales tallied the Big Green goal midway through the first half.
SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
Quinnipiac dropped its season opener, 3-0, to Providence on Sunday evening.
Sofia Lospinoso played all 90 minutes in goal for the Bobcats, making three saves.
Quinnipiac was selected as the MAAC preseason favorite after winning the conference last year, making its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. They finished second in Division I in goals per game with 2.84.
The Bobcats had four players selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Team in graduate students Markela Bejleri and Kayla Mingachos and seniors Courtney Chochol and Emely van der Vliet.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BOBCATS
Dartmouth holds a 3-1-0 all-time series record against Quinnipiac. The Big Green have won three straight over the Bobcats, with the last win being a 2-0 shutout victory in Hamden during the 2019 season.
