The Big Green improved to 4-0 with a pair of dominant wins

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team is off to a 4-0 start for a second straight season after picking up two wins over Boston University on Sunday at Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green clinched the opening match, 4-0, before rolling to a 6-1 triumph in the nightcap.

Four matches into the season, the doubles teams of Miles Groom/Waleed Qadir and Alex Knox-Jones/Henry Ren remain unbeaten at 3-0. Hikaru Takeda and Yujiro Onuma are both 3-0 on the season in singles, each having picked up a victory on Sunday.

The Big Green, who defeated Indiana in a thriller at Boss Tennis Center on Friday, will see another Big Ten opponent on Friday, Feb. 2 when Purdue visits at 3 p.m.

MATCH 1
The Big Green rolled to a 4-0 win over the Terriers to open the action-packed Sunday in Boss Tennis Center. The doubles tandems of Henry Ren and Alex Knox-Jones (No. 1), and Miles Groom and Waleed Qadir (No. 2) allowed Dartmouth to grab the doubles point before Logan Chang clinched the victory with a two-set win at the No. 5 position.

Singles wins, in addition to Chang, came from Carlos Guerrero Alvarez (No. 2) and Knox-Jones (No. 6).

After earning the doubles point once again, there was no denying Dartmouth of a fourth straight win as the Big Green won all but one singles match. Chang and Knox-Jones both went 2-0 on the day in singles action at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively. Corey Craig represented Boston University's lone singles win of the day, having defeated Guerrero Alvarez on the top court.
