HANOVER, N.H. – This past weekend, the Open and Women's Sailing team headed to the Schell Trophy at Yale for the NEISA Open Fall Championship and the Women's Urn Trophy hosted by Brown for the NEISA Women's Fall Championship.
At the Schell Trophy, the Big Green posted 115 points in the A Division and 72 points in the B Division for 187 points overall and a sixth-place finish. The two divisions earned 16 top ten finishes over the 26 races including an A Division fifth place finishing position and a first place B Division finishing position in the final two races.
The B Division also collected a first-place finishing position in the seventh race. The two divisions also secured second, third, and fourth place finishing positions in three straight races.
At the Women's Urn Trophy for the Women's NEISA Fall Championship, the Big Green posted 118 A Division points and 63 B Division points for fifth overall. The B Division's score was the second best in the regatta.
22 of the Big Green's 28 races were top-ten finishes. The B Division earned two first place finishing positions and four second place finishing positions over their 14 races.
While the Big Green's team regattas have wrapped, their season will officially wrap next weekend when
Sarah Young travels to St. Petersburg, Florida for the Women's Singlehanded National Championship. Young placed third overall at the NEISA Singlehanded Championship back in September.
