HANOVER, N.H. –
Cade Haskins dropped 32 points, a career high, for the Big Green as the Dartmouth College men's basketball team defeated Vermont State University – Lyndon 129-47 from Leede Arena on Monday night.
Haskins shot 11-16 from the field and 8-12 from beyond the arc. The 129 points broke a previous program record of 121 which was set on Jan. 16, 2016 versus Pine Manor in a 121-56 victory.
The Big Green's record improves to 1-0 (0-0 Ivy League) and VSU - Lyndon falls to 0-1 (0-0 NAC).

FIRST HALF:
- The Big Green went on an early 17-0 run which included three-pointers from Romeo Myrthil and Haskins to take a 20-2 lead over the Hornets going into the first media timeout.
- Back-to-back threes from VSU gave the Hornets some life to score 12 of the next 18 points.
- Another significant run by Dartmouth gave the Big Green a 60-17 lead. The run included a dunk from Niko Abusara and 3-pointers from Cameron McNamee, Connor Admundsen, and Myrthil.
SECOND HALF:
- The half opened on a 16-1 Dartmouth run, with 12 of those points scored by Haskins, to give the Big Green an 85-22 lead.
- The Hornets closed the gap slightly with a dunk and two three pointers, but the Big Green charged on.
- Dartmouth ended the game on a 13-5 run, capped off by an alley oop from Ben Brown to McNamee.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Big Green out rebounded the Hornets 51-23.
- Dartmouth had 10 steals with Abusara tallying three of them.
- The Big Green shot 49-78 (62.8%) from the field and 20-41 (48.8%) from beyond the arc.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Haskins is the first Big Green player to score 30 points or more in a single game since Dame Adelkun scored 41 in a win against Columbia on January 28, 2023.
- All four Big Green first-years made their collegiate debuts tonight.
- Haskins also broke career records for field goals made (11) and three-point field goals made (8).
