Dartmouth jumped out to a 21-4 lead and wouldn't look back

HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's basketball team defeated Keene State 98-47 in the season opener on Friday evening from Leede Arena.
Victoria Page led the Big Green with 19 points and Zeynep Ozel was right behind with 17 points for Dartmouth.
The Big Green's record improves to 1-0 (0-0 Ivy League).

The Big Green return to Leede Arena when they welcome UAlbany to Hanover on Wednesday, Nov. 13 for an 8:00 p.m. tip.
FIRST QUARTER:
The Big Green opened on a prominent run to take a 21-4 lead. The first five points of the game were scored by Alexandra Eldredge.
A steal and driving layup by Victoria Page kept the momentum going for the Big Green.
The first quarter included four 3-pointers from four different Dartmouth players-Eldredge, Nina Minicozzi, Page and Ozel.
SECOND QUARTER:
The second quarter began evenly matched with the teams exchanging 3-pointers for 12 points.
Dartmouth went on a 10-2 run to close out the quarter with 3-pointers from Page and Ozel.
THIRD QUARTER:
The Big Green scored the first three baskets of the quarter, but Keene State responded with a 9-0 run of their own to bring some life to the Owls.
Dartmouth bounced back and ended the quarter on the 14-0 run with 3-pointers from Page and Ozel and six points from Olivia Austin.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Big Green commanded the final quarter by outscoring the Owls 23-8.
Dartmouth finished the game on a 10-2 run.
The points came from six different Big Green players.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Dartmouth won its season opener for the first time since 2019.
Three of the Big Green's five starters were newcomers.
Five Dartmouth newcomers all scored their first points with the Big Green. Along with Ozel's 17 and Austin's 12, Eldredge added seven, Tahira Muhammad scored seven and Ellie Cerf added five.
The Big Green outrebounded the Owls, 40-29.
Dartmouth was 55.1% (15-33) from beyond the arc and 45.5% (38-69) from the field.
The Big Green combined for 11 steals compared to Keene State's three.
Austin and Cate MacDonald both shot 100% from the field with Austin shooting 6-6 and MacDonald shooting 3-3.
