HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday inside Boss Tennis Center, falling 6-1 to Michigan State.
Katie Weber, competing at the No. 6 singles position, picked up the Big Green's lone victory.
Michigan State clinched the doubles point wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions before claiming five of six singles matches. Weber and
Michela Moore were leading 5-3 on Court 2 when doubles play stopped.
Moore nearly added a win at the No. 1 position, narrowly falling to Michigan State's Matilde Morais in a 10-point tie-break after winning the second set.
Brooke Hess (No. 4) also won the second set of her match to force a third. Weber's victory came in three-set fashion with the senior having won the first set and lost the second.
