LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Friday's matinee against South Dakota had all the makings of a pitcher's duel, scoreless through four, until the Dartmouth bats came alive with eight hits in the final two innings, all while first-year
Jensin Hall tossed a complete game and fanned 11 Coyotes in a 6-0 victory.

The Big Green, who started 0-4, are now winners of three straight having also defeated Butler and Bellarmine on Wednesday. Hall starred in the win over Butler with 10 strikeouts and two earned runs over five innings of work, and now has 21 strikeouts over her last 12 innings pitched following Friday's gem.

A two-run fifth was more than enough run support for Hall, but the Big Green provided plenty of insurance with another four in the sixth. A two-out fifth-inning rally, including
Cwen Wilson's RBI double that broke the scoreless tie, put the Big Green on top and
Allie Ohde drove in two with her sixth-inning base-knock to double the lead.

Kelly Beaupre and
Leila Hennessy were both 2-for-3 at the plate for Dartmouth, which had just one hit through four innings, but would finish the afternoon with nine. South Dakota mustered just four hits against Hall, who struck out eight of her first nine batters faced.

Just the Big Green's second hit of the day, Hennessy singled to right field with two gone in the fifth to give way to Wilson's clutch RBI double. Wilson would come around to score on fellow first-year
Justice Malone's single. Another rookie,
Olivia Schramm, delivered a one-out single in the sixth and two batters later, with the bases loaded, Ohde ripped the two-run single that hiked Dartmouth's lead to 4-0. Hennessy tacked on another with an RBI single, and it was 6-0 after Wilson's sacrifice bunt brought Ohde home.

Dartmouth is set to face South Dakota once again on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. and will square off with Illinois at 1 p.m. as the Louisville Classic continues. The action-packed weekend in the Bluegrass State closes on Sunday against Michigan. Live stats for all contests are available on DartmouthSports.com.
