LA JOLLA, Calif. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team earned its second consecutive win, downing Pomona-Pitzer by a score of 5-2 on Saturday in La Jolla.
Now with a winning record at 6-5 on the season, the Big Green earned the doubles point with victories on the top two courts and went on to win four singles matches to comfortably clinch.
Lexi Dewire and
Elizabeth Fahrmeier, and
Peyton Capuano and
Michela Moore both earned 6-4 victories on Courts 1 and 2, respectively. Capuano, Moore and Dewire each went on to earn wins in singles.
First-years Capuano and Moore were both winners at the top two singles positions, while Dewire added a victory at No. 3, and
Katie Weber picked up a win on Court 6. Capuano boasts an impressive 6-2 record at the No. 1 position.
Dartmouth's spring road trip continues at Loyola Marymount on Wednesday, March 20. The match begins at 4 p.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).
