LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Big Green took a 3-0 lead in the first inning did not look back, defeating Loyola Marymount 10-2 and collecting their second straight win.

With the victory, the Big Green move to 3-7 while LMU falls to 10-10.

The Big Green got on the board in the first inning, pushing three runs across home plate. Tyler Robinson led off the inning with a triple and after that, the ball did not leave the infield. Kolton Freeman collected an infield single to score Robinson before scoring on another infield single by Nathan Cmeyla. Ethan Brown rounded out the scoring with a ground out to score Cmeyla, giving the Big Green a 3-0.

LMU cut into Dartmouth's lead in the second inning, but the score remained 3-1 in favor of the Big Green until they were able to extend their lead in the fifth inning.

Freeman collected another RBI single to score Robinson, before Jackson Hower walked with the bases loaded to score Max Zajec. Elliot Krewson drew another walk to score Zajec and push the Big Green's lead to 7-1.

The Big Green then added one run in the eighth when Hower scored on a Luke Carroll single. In the ninth inning, the Big Green posted their third three-run inning of the game. Hower doubled to score two runs and two pitches later, came home to score on a Freeman single.

The Lions did add a second run in their half of the ninth on a solo home run but could not make the full comeback, as the Big Green will leave LMU with their second straight win.

Eddie Albert got the win for Dartmouth. The right-hander went six innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing three walks and striking out four. Danny Will also pitched well, going three innings, surrendering one run on two hits, walking none and striking out one.

The Big Green will face Pomona-Pitzer tomorrow at 6 p.m. ET in their second to last game of the West Coast trip, looking to collect their third straight win.
