CLAREMONT, Calif -- The Big Green came from behind to tie the game in the second inning but were only able to add one more run, ultimately falling to Pomona-Pitzer 9-3.

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 3-8 on the season.

The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens got out to a quick lead in the first inning, adding two runs and threatening to add more with the bases loaded. Luckily, the Big Green were able to get out of the jam and tie the game in their half of the second inning.

Luke Carrol got the Big Green on the board, cutting Pomona-Pitzer's lead in half with a solo home run. Jackson Hower then reached on an error and eventually came home on a Taer Rodriguez single to tie the game.

The Sagehens added four more runs before a lightning delay, and despite the long break, did not skip a beat, adding three more runs to lead the Big Green 9-2 headed into the eighth inning.

While the Big Green were able to add one run in the eighth prior to the game being called, they were not able to make the full comeback, falling to the Sagehens, 9-3.

Junior Carroll went 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI for the Dartmouth Big Green in a 9-3 loss to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Monday.

Marco Dumsky made his second start of the West Coast trip, only recording one out before Drew Koenen came in in relief. Koenen pitched three innings, allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts. Tyler Cortland, Joseph Chambers, Danny Will, and Shane Bauer also pitched in relief for the Big Green.

Dartmouth will wrap up their time on the West Coast tomorrow when they face California Baptist. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET>.
