HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's golf team, which secured its first Ivy League Championship over the weekend, will head to the Las Vegas Regional per the NCAA Division I women's golf selection show on Wednesday afternoon.
The 2024 Las Vegas Regional will mark the Big Green's first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
"All of the hard work paid off," said
Katherine Sung. "Thinking about the four-year journey I've had as a senior on the team is special. We're excited to go to Vegas."
"This year with a full team, practice has felt more competitive and everyone is trying to put their best foot forward," said
Penelope Tir, reflecting on the Big Green's growth over recent seasons. "That has led to us play some of the best golf we've seen in a while."
"When we won on Sunday, it was pure emotion," said
Alex Kirk, Dartmouth's Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf. "A couple days out now, we're celebrating being the best in the Ivy League. The talent we have, and the ability we have, came out."
Dartmouth finished at 35-over-899 to capture the program's first Ivy League Championship, which wrapped up on Sunday.
