Hower and Hall are this week’s stellar athletes
HANOVER, N.H. — There were plenty of standout moments from this week's Athletes of the Week Jackson Hower of baseball and Jensin Hall of softball. Hower had a go-ahead grand slam against UMass Lowell, while Hall finished with 17 strikeouts against Brown on Saturday. And that's just the beginning.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athlete – one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Jackson Hower, Jr., Erie, Pa., Baseball

Hower also collected a hit in all three games against Columbia, scoring a third of the Big Green's runs in game one of the series. He also scored two runs and knocked in two runs in the series finale.
Jensin Hall, Fy., Frisco, Texas, Softball
Jensin Hall earned her third straight Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honor after striking out 17 in a one-hit shutout against Brown. 17 marks the most strikeouts by any Ivy League pitcher against a Division I opponent since 2006, and is tied for third among all single-game totals by Division I pitchers this season. Prior to her historic performance against Brown, Hall earned the win against No. 21/23 Boston University as the Big Green notched their first win over a ranked opponent since 2015. The first-year now ranks second in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings (11.2).
