LEXINGTON, KY. – Today, the Dartmouth women's track and field team competed in two events at the NCAA East Regional Preliminary at the UK Track and Field Complex. Representing the Big Green were
Katherine Strong and
Natalie Shapiro.
Competing in her first outdoor regionals, Strong competed in the 3000m steeplechase and finished at 10:46.83, placing forty-first.
Strong had a memorable outdoor season, improving her best time in the steeplechase this spring. She finishes the season with the second, all-time best time in the Dartmouth women's steeplechase.
Shapiro competed in her first outdoor regionals competing in the 5000m. She finished at 16.25.44 placing twenty-seventh.
Shapiro finishes the season with multiple top ten all-time finishes. With her marks this outdoor season she is the fourth all-time in 5k, ninth all-time in 1500m and second all-time in the 10k. She was featured in the USTFCCA Event Squad rankings at thirty-fourth in the 5k and thirty-fifth in the 1500m.
