HANOVER, N.H. - Five track and field and cross country student athletes were given College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, as announced by the association on Tuesday afternoon.
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the CSC All-District team. Additionally, student-athletes must've had a top-50 individual performance at the 2024 NCAA cross country regional or a top-50 regional ranking in a track event.
Madeleine Locher | Ventura, Calif. | Environmental Studies
Locher finished 20th in the region for the 10,000m, wrapping her senior season with a 33:53.04 finish. She also finished 13th regionally in the 6k with a time of 20:16.5. Additionally, she earned second-team All-Ivy honors.
Albert Velikonja | Quebec, Canada | History
Velikonja qualified for the 5000m at the NCAA First Round, ranking 39th in the East. He finished his senior season ranked 16th in the region with his 14:11.78 mark.
Mac Hadden | Boston, Mass. | History
Hadden finished 32nd regionally after his 30:48.0 finish at the NCAA Northeast XC Championships. He was also the top finisher at the Ivy League Championships, finishing 27th with a time of 23:55.7 in the 8k race.
Max Klein | Newton, Mass. | Biology
Klein qualified for the NCAA First Round as 34th in the region, then improved to 31st in the shot put with a 17.71m throw. He also ranks 80th nationally in the shot put with an 18.28m throw.
Jack Intihar | Crozet, Va. | Economics
Intihar placed second in the decathlon after recording a new personal best of 7321 points at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships. He improved his best score by 360 points and put himself at sixth all-time in program history. Additionally, Intihar recorded a personal record in six of the ten decathlon events, including an eighth all-time program record of 7.32m in the long jump.
