Ben Pable sets another school record

PRINCETON, N.J. – On day one of the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championship, the Dartmouth men's track and field team sits in third place with 21 points, just one point behind Penn.

Hammer throw
Ben Pable finished second (+8 pts) and threw a personal best with a mark of 67.52m (221-6) setting a new school record.
Michael Gabriel finished fifth (+2 pts) and threw a season-best, 60.60m (198-10).
Colton McMaster finished ninth, throwing 56.68m (185-11).
Throwing a personal best, David Walker placed fifteenth with a throw of 47.53m (155-11).

Decathlon
Jack Intihar currently sits in second place with 3802 points. Two first-place finishes in the 100m (10.76) and the long jump (7.00m). A third-place finish in the shotput (11.58m) and two second-place finishes in the high jump (1.90m) and the 400m (50.81)
Karl-Oskar Pajus sits in third with 3747 points. Placing third in the 100m (11.12) and fourth in the long jump (6.68m), Pajus came in second in the shotput (12.76m), third in the high jump (1.87m), and first in the 400m (49.58).

Pole vault
Sam Starrs finished sixth (+1 pts) clearing 4.56m (14-11 ½).

Long jump
Rahul Batlanki finished fifth (+ 2 pts) jumping a personal best, 7.24m (23-9) mark
Ethan Hughes finished eighth also jumping a personal best, 7.14m (23-5 ¼).

1500m prelim
Maclean Hadden finished twelfth to advance to the finals with a time of 3:49.16.
David Appleton finished fourteenth with a personal best of 3:49.51.
Eric Sankey finished eighteenth, running 3:51.78.
Alexander Craig finished twenty-fourth running 4:03.44.

400m prelim
Adrien Jacobs finished seventh with a personal best of 47.84 to advance to the finals.
Mason Childers finished fifteenth and ran a personal best of 49.08.

100m prelim
Bryce Thomas finished eighth and ran a personal best of 10.56 to advance to the finals.

Discus throw
Finishing second (+8 pts), Colton McMaster threw 52.57m (172-5).

800m prelim
Baker Pashea finished twenty-first and ran a personal best of 1:55.43.

200m prelim
Running a personal best, Bryce Thomas placed ninth with a time of 21.32.

10k
Declan O'Scannlain finished seventeenth with a time of 30:23.04.
Ben Williams finished nineteenth with a time of 31:29.50.

The Big Green are back in action tomorrow at 10 a.m. on the final day of the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
