
Dartmouth Names Maciejewski Senior Associate Athletics Director For Development

Maciejewski Brings Over Eight Years Of Development And Partnership Experience To Dartmouth
HANOVER, N.H. — Mike Harrity, the Haldeman Family Director of Athletics and Recreation at Dartmouth College, announced on Thursday the hiring of Steven Maciejewski (MA-chee-es-ski) to serve in a newly established role of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development. In this role, Maciejewski will oversee Dartmouth's growing athletics fundraising and stewardship program while developing and executing a strategic plan to inspire new levels of engagement, commitment and philanthropic support.

Maciejewski joins the Big Green from Niagara University where he served as the Advancement Officer for Purple Eagle Athletics. Prior to Niagara, he was the Manager of Corporate Partnership Activation for the Buffalo Sabres. He started his career in college athletics with the University at Buffalo as its Assistant Athletic Director for Development.
With Niagara, Maciejewski managed a portfolio of 155 Major Gift donors and prospects from across the United States and Canada. Over the past year at Niagara, he secured major gifts to fund a new-indoor golf facility, an indoor facility for the baseball and softball programs, soccer field improvements, and ice hockey arena renovations. In fiscal year 2024, Niagara eclipsed the 1 million dollar milestone in annual philanthropic donations for the first time in Niagara Athletics history while receiving donations from 873 donors with 1,373 total gifts.

Maciejewski will work in conjunction with Dartmouth College's Development Department to develop engagement strategies for individuals interested in supporting Dartmouth Athletics priorities through identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects capable of making current-use and capital commitments. He will oversee the athletics fundraising team to develop fundraising programs in support of 'Friends Of' athletic teams.

Maciejewski graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in communications while also being a member of the UB track and field team. The Buffalo, N.Y. native then earned his master's degree in educational leadership and policy from the University at Buffalo in 2016.
Maciejewski is joined in the Upper Valley alongside his wife Erin and their two dogs Hugo and Larkin.
