NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. - After an important win over Bryant on Saturday, the Big Green were looking to continue to build momentum on the road against Merrimack ahead of their first Ivy League matchup this weekend.

Dartmouth got on the board early and doubled its lead, headed into halftime up 2-0 en route to a 2-1 win over the Warriors.

With the win, the Big Green move to 3-3-1 on the season.

The Big Green came fast out of kickoff, maintaining time in Merrimack's defensive zone and applying pressure on the defense and keeper. Trenton Blake found himself with the ball near the top of the box, dribbling around multiple defenders.

Orrett Maine made himself open and wasted no time, firing the ball from outside the box and past the keeper to put the Big Green up 1-0 and score his first career goal.

In the 28^th minute, Blake drew a foul in the box, granting him a penalty kick. Merrimack's keeper dove to the right, giving Blake a wide-open net to the left, doubling the Big Green's lead.

Merrimack seemed to find momentum in the second half, maintaining the ball and pressuring the Big Green. Dartmouth held their opponent off the scoresheet until the 67^th minute when the Warriors were able to convert on a corner kick to cut the Big Green's lead in half.

Dartmouth had a few more chances to add an insurance goal, including a Cameron Brayne breakaway as time expired, but despite not getting insurance, the Big Green leave North Andover with a 2-1 win and head into Ivy League play in the win column.
