PRINCETON, N.J. – On a rainy and wet course, the Big Green shot a +35 over 36 holes on day one of the Princeton Invitational, currently sitting in fifth place.
Dartmouth shot a +14 through the first round, good for second overall, and shot a +21 through the second round, placing them in fifth through the first day of play.

Alex Kirk described the day as "a battle from the start," due to weather and condition of the greens, but was overall happy with his team's performance.
Sophie Thai leads the way for the Big Green, tied for 16
th overall. Thai was just a +2 through the first round, then shooting a +6 across the second 18.
Olivia Cong is not far behind, sitting in 20
th place with a +9 on the day.
Alissa Xu is right behind Cong by only one stroke, posting a +10 through 36 holes.

Lauren Pham rounds out the top four for the Big Green, also posting a +10 to be tied alongside Xu for 20
th overall.
"I was pleased with the first 18," Kirk said. "It was nice to see new faces Alissa, Lauren, and Olivia contribute to the team score."
Caroline Chung and
Victoria Tan were the other two Big Green golfers to compete in the start six count four tournament. Chung shot a +13 while Tan posted a +17.
The Big Green will return to the course tomorrow for a final 18 holes, wrapping up their second tournament of the season.
Kirk says the overall goal for his team is to improve and make more birdies, all while hoping for clearer weather.
