Women's Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw Against RMU

Hailey Rorick scores goal in second straight game
MOON TOWNSHIP, PA – In the first meeting of the programs, the Dartmouth women's soccer drew 1-1 against the Robert Morris Colonials on Sunday afternoon. Junior Hailey Rorick scores a goal in her second straight game.
The Big Green move to 3-2-1 while RMU sits at 1-3-3. The Big Green close out non-conference play in Pennsylvania.
In the opening minutes of the match, the Big Green were off to a strong start outshooting the Colonials 7-3 in the first 25 minutes. Dartmouth's offense kept attacking the RMU defense and created scoring opportunities. Constantly pressuring the Colonials, Dartmouth held a 12-4 shot advantage in the first period. After 45 minutes of play, both teams remained scoreless.
At the start of the second half, Dartmouth charged toward the goal. Senior Aleena Seales drew a foul in the box and the Big Green were awarded a penalty kick. In the 49th minute, Rorick capitalized on the PK and scored her second goal of the season, 1-0. The Big Green kept attacking the goal but were stopped by the Colonials goalkeeper. Then, in the 83rd minute, RMU score the equalizer to end the game in a 1-1 draw.

Seales tallied five shots with one shot on goal and fifth-year Daisy Granholm and junior Mary Lundregan had four shots with three shots on goal.
Dartmouth is set for its third straight road game as they head to Hamilton, N.Y. to face Colgate on Thursday, September 12 at 7 p.m.
