PHILADELPHIA — The Dartmouth women's basketball team took control early and wouldn't relinquish the lead in an impressive 61-49 win at Penn on Saturday afternoon inside the historic Palestra. With the victory, the Big Green snapped an 18-game losing streak against the Quakers and beat Penn for the first time since February of 2014. Now at 2-0 in the Ivy League for the first time in 15 years, Dartmouth is tied with Princeton and Columbia for first place in the league standings.
The Big Green trailed for just 59 seconds on Saturday, outscoring Penn in the first, second and third quarters before dropping the fourth by just two points. Counting the Ivy League opener at Brown, Dartmouth has trailed for just 1:31 over the first two league games.
Victoria Page was sensational in tying a career high with 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting. In front of many friends and family in a homecoming to Philadelphia, Clare Meyer posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Olivia Austin added five points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Dartmouth improves to 8-7 overall and 5-3 on the road. The Big Green own their best record after 15 games since the 2017-18 season (when they were 9-5).

FOURTH QUARTER:
Penn wouldn't go away quietly, pulling as close as eight at 54-46 with 4:10 remaining.
