HANOVER, N.H. — Yale opened a first-quarter lead and despite multiple Dartmouth comeback attempts, the Big Green couldn't get over the hump in a tough 70-67 defeat on Monday evening inside Leede Arena. Victoria Page led the offense with a career-high 29 points, marking the most points by a Dartmouth player in almost seven years, but it wasn't enough.
The Big Green trimmed an 11-point deficit with 5:25 remaining down to one, but a tough 3-pointer from Page as the clock expired wouldn't fall.
Alexandra Eldredge and Zeynep Ozel each scored 13 points, with Eldredge's coming on 6-of-8 shooting, in scoring her Dartmouth career-high high. Page shot an impressive 12-of-21 from the floor, including 2-of-4 from three.
Grace Thybulle led Yale with a game-high 22 points. The Bulldogs finished with 21 turnovers, compared to just 11 for the Big Green, helping offset Yale's 36-21 edge in rebounds.
Dartmouth remains home on Saturday to host Brown at 2 p.m.
FIRST QUARTER:

SECOND QUARTER:
The Bulldogs' lead reached as much as 11 midway through the second quarter before the Big Green mounted a surge.
Dartmouth staged a 14-4 run, with all the points coming from Page, Eldredge and Ozel.
An Eldredge layup with 19 seconds on the clock pulled the Big Green within 33-32 before the Bulldogs' Marisa Chapman knocked down layup to give her team a 35-32 halftime lead.
THIRD QUARTER:
The margin remained between two and six through the first six minutes of the third quarter.
Yale used a mini 5-0 surge to double its lead from five to 10, with 2:14 on the clock.
Page hit two free throws with less than one second remaining, but the Bulldogs still took a 55-45 lead into the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
Yale still led 61-50 with 5:25 remaining, but the Big Green wouldn't go away quietly.
A quick 7-0 surge in less than a minute cut the deficit to four. Page began and ended the run, with a Cate MacDonald finish in between.
A few minutes later, an Eldredge reverse layup pulled the Big Green within 64-61 with 2:12 on the clock.
The Big Green got to as close as one with 26 seconds remaining (after a Page layup) and nine seconds on the clock (following a Nina Minicozzi layup). That's as close as they would come, however as Yale walked away with the victory.
