Nina Minicozzi scored a season-high 16 points in the defeat

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's basketball team led after the first three quarters, but Brown exploded for 28 points in the fourth to come back and beat the Big Green, 64-56 on Saturday afternoon at Leede Arena. Nina Minicozzi led Dartmouth offensively with a season-high 16 points, while dishing four assists, but it wasn't enough.
Cate MacDonald and Victoria Page each added nine points for the Big Green. Alyssa Moreland led Brown with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Dartmouth led 13-5 after the first quarter, but Brown pulled within two at the half then one at the end of three quarters.
With the result, the Brown move ahead of the Big Green in the standings at 3-2 in the Ivy League. Dartmouth falls to 2-3.

FIRST QUARTER:
The Big Green came out strong, as Zeynep Ozel accounted for the game's first six points via a pair of 3-pointers.
Brown pulled within 6-5, but Dartmouth ended the quarter with seven unanswered points. In that stretch, Page scored four points, with an Alexandra Eldredge three sandwiched in between.
The Big Green held the Bears scoreless for the final 4:18 of the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER:
Brown quickly pulled within two, but Minicozzi's first points of the afternoon, a three, put the Big Green ahead 20-13 with 4:26 left in the half.
A Clare Meyer layup made the score 22-16, but Brown scored the final four points of the half.
Neither team scored for the final 2:41 of the stanza, with the Big Green held without a point over the final 3:28.
THIRD QUARTER:
Early in the quarter, Dartmouth regained leads of seven, then eight, as a MacDonald second-chance layup gave the Big Green a 29-22 lead with 6:55 on the clock. A MacDonald 3-pointer less than a minute later giving the Big Green a 32-24 advantage.
Brown responded with 12 of the next 16 points, including the final five points of the quarter. Moreland scored the final three points to pull the Bears within 37-36 heading to the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Bears began the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 43-37 lead, with Moreland scoring the first five points.
Minicozzi went on a personal 6-0 run, via a 3-pointer and three free throws, to even the score at 43.
After an Eldredge jumper tied the score at 45, Brown scored eight straight points to take a 53-45 lead and wouldn't look back.
Dartmouth fouled down the stretch hoping to extend the game, but the Bears hit enough free throws to wrap up the 64-56 final.
Nina Minicozzi has been huge in this one, up to a season-high 14 points after six straight Big Green points. Brown currently leads 48-45 with 4:34 remaining.
