After the game, Head Coach
Katie Dowty said she was proud of her team for putting what they've been working on into practice in a game situation.
"I was really happy to see a lot of things we've been working on in training kind of put into practice, really working on getting into our attack in the 22 and turning that int points," Dowty said. "It was an opportunity today, particularly for our seniors to show out. And they did a great job. And then some of our youngsters who are progressively getting more minutes also stepped in and got a lot of those details right."
Walker, who scored a try late in the game said Saturday's game was a great way to cap off her four-year career with the Big Green on Brophy Field.
"Lots of team rugby and we're so lucky we got to have it at home with so much great support," Walker said.
As the Big Gren shift their focus to the semifinals, the goal for her team is composure.
"Getting our details right. Nothing new at this stage, but just executing, turning that pressure that we create territorially into points and everybody doing their role, getting those little details right every day at practice and then transitioning that in the big games under pressure," Dowty said.
