CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On Saturday, #4 Dartmouth women's rugby traveled to Cambridge, taking on #1 Harvard in the NIRA Semifinals.
The Big Green opened the scoring on a penalty kick, but Harvard dominated the rest of the game, going on to defeat Dartmouth 45-10 and end its 15s season. The Big Green finish the fall season with a 5-3 overall record and a 4-2 regular season conference record.
Less than five minutes into the game, the Big Green were awarded a penalty kick.
Annie Henrich, who leads the team with 80 points and 26 successful conversion kicks, scored her second PK of the season, giving Dartmouth a 3-0 lead.
Later in the first half, Harvard responded, but the conversion was no good, as the Crimson took a 5-3 lead.
Just past the halfway mark of the first half, Dartmouth would retake its lead, scoring a try and making the conversion to lead 10-5.
Before the first half ended, Harvard scored 14 points, taking a 19-10 lead into the break.
The second half was all Crimson. Harvard scored early and often, tallying 26 total points through the final 40 minutes to defeat Dartmouth 45-10 and advance to the NIRA Championship next weekend.
With the loss, the Big Green are now 13-8 all time against the Crimson. Harvard also won the 2025 regular season matchup in Hanover in thrilling fashion, 36-33. The Crimson have now won three straight matches against the Big Green.
