HANOVER, N.H.-- The No. 2 ranked Dartmouth equestrian team capped off its fall season with a 6-3-1 victory over No. 3 Sacred Heart University on Sunday. The win pulls the defending national champions to 3-0 on the year.
To start the day, the Big Green secured four of five fences matchups. Cassidy Exner '27 was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) over fences after her 85-84 win. Samantha Takacs '27, Grace Russo '29, and Camilla Jerng '29 also won their contests (81-75, 80-78, 77-76 respectively). For Exner, it was her second fences MOP on the year.
"We had a good week of practice and continued the theme of getting out to an early lead," said head coach Tenley Walsh. "Our horses were great, and every rider contributed to the win."
In the second half, Jerng picked up her second point of the day (83-82) and Elise Stephens '28 also won her flat matchup, 67-64. Jerng was named the meet's MOP on the flat, the second time she has taken home that honor this season.
"Winning her fences debut and staying undefeated on the flat was an awesome way for Camilla to end the fall," said Walsh. "I'm really proud of her. She's worked hard and earned all of it."
The team will return to action on Sunday, February 15, when they travel to the College of Charleston.
