Tenley Walsh assumed the role head coach of Dartmouth equestrian on June 12, 2019.
Dartmouth equestrian took home the programs first NCEA National Championship in the 2024-25 and earned the program’s first ever No. 1 ranking. The Big Green opened the season with four straight wins in the fall. Dartmouth entered the ECAC Single Discipline Championship as the top seed and defeated Sacred Heart before falling 7-3 to Charleston. The Big Green earned the fourth and final seed at the NCEA National Championship. The Big Green defeated top seeded Lynchburg for the first time in program history to move onto the national championship. The national championship against Charleston came down to raw score after each team earned five points, Dartmouth won 749.67-701.67 to capture the national championship. Elise Stephens was named to the All-Championship Team for fences. Chloe Terestchenko, Cassidy Exner, Samantha Takacs, and Elise Stephens were all named to the All-ECAC team. Takacs was named to the Ariat All-American First Team, Exner earned Second Team All-American honors, while Stephens was an All-American honorable mention. Dartmouth finished the season as the top ranked single discipline team in the NCEA. Walsh was named NCEA Single Discpline Coach of the Year for the first time in her career.
In 2023-24, Walsh led the Big Green to new heights as the Big Green earned a spot in the NCEA National Championship for the first time in program history. Samantha Takacs became the first member of the Big Green to earn All-American honors as she was a second team All-American. The Big Green finished 4-4 overall.Â

Walsh comes to Hanover to work with the Big Green at Morton Farm after serving as the head coach and riding instructor at her alma mater Otterbein University in Ohio for five years before moving on to serve as the assistant executive director at the Florida Agricultural Center & Horse Park Authority in Ocala for the last three.

A 2012 graduate from Otterbein with a degree in equine business and facility management before getting her MBA there as well in 2016, Walsh was hired to assume the reins of the program immediately after completing her undergraduate riding career.

Under her guidance, the program continued to grow and set new high standards in competition as well as raising the profile of the program by hosting several national and regional shows.

While coaching, Walsh led Otterbein to three regional championships and a pair of top-10 showings at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship, finishing sixth and seventh, respectively, in those appearances. The team's 2013 IHSA appearance was the first in school history.

A decorated competitor herself, she has two regional (2010 and 2012) and two zones (2009 and 2011) appearances to her credit as a member of the varsity hunt seat equestrian team.
