HANOVER, N.H. –The stands of Leede Arena erupted with cheers as the final seconds ran out in Tuesday's game against in-state rival UNH. With a missed three-pointer from the Wildcats, the Dartmouth men's basketball team took a nail-biting 69-68 win.
Kareem Thomas led the team with 18 points, going 7 for 9 in field goals and 4 for 5 in free throws. Brandon Mitchell-Day scored 15 points with six field goals, one three-pointer, eight rebounds and three assists. Jayden Williams followed closely behind with 14 points, going 6 for 11 in field goals, scoring two three-pointers, tying Mitchell-Day in rebounds and making two assists.

First Half:
Dartmouth put itself on the board first with a three-pointer from Mitchell-Day, which would turn out to be its largest lead of the game.
The score was neck-and-neck until the Wildcats broke away with an eight-point lead, its largest lead of the game, with less than six minutes left until halftime.
The Big Green went on a 10-4 run in the last three minutes of the first half to bring the score within four points, 34-30.
Second Half:
Dartmouth struck first in the second half with a layup from Williams, and tied the game with a Mitchell-Day jumper.
The back-and-forth nature of the game continued well into the second half, with the game being tied six times and the lead changing seven times.
UNH was up by eight points with three minutes left on the board, until Dartmouth went on a 7-0 run to bring the game within one point.
UNH's KiJan Robinson missed a jumper, allowing Williams to get the rebound. With seven seconds left in the game, Thomas scored a layup that would secure a victory for his team.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Dartmouth shot 73.7% from the free-throw line, making 11 of 15 attempts.
The Big Green scored 28 points inside the paint, as well as eight three-pointers.
Dartmouth's bench scored 11 points throughout the game.
Dartmouth had the lead for only seven minutes of the game, while UNH spent 28:25 with the advantage.
