Clare Meyer and Victoria Page finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's basketball team jumped out to a 17-10 lead after one quarter, but Columbia responded by holding a 40-14 edge over the middle two quarters, on its way to beating the Big Green, 71-48 on Saturday evening inside Leede Arena. Clare Meyer led Dartmouth with a season-high 16 points, coming on 8-of-11 shooting. But in the end, Riley Weiss' 25 points for the Lions proved too much to overcome.
Victoria Page added 14 points for Dartmouth. The Big Green shot just 5-of-25 from 3-point range. Columbia improved to 7-0 in the Ivy League, 16-4 overall.
Saturday's game ends a four-game homestand for the Big Green. It was Alumnae Day as Dartmouth women's basketball numerous alumnae, and several Ivy League championship teams, for the annual reunion weekend.

FIRST QUARTER:
On the game's opening tipoff, Olivia Austin led Zeynep Ozel towards the basket for a layup and 2-0 lead just five seconds in.
After Columbia pulled even, the Big Green went on an 8-0 run, with four of the points scored by Meyer. A Page layup gave Dartmouth a 10-2 advantage with 3:22 remaining.
The Lions got within four at 12-8, but a Page 3-pointer gave Dartmouth a 15-8 lead, on the way to the 17-10 lead after one quarter.

With Dartmouth leading 19-12, Columbia staged an 11-0 run to go up 23-19 with 4:42 on the clock.
With the Lions leading 25-23, the Lions scored seven of the final eight points of the half, as a Weiss three at the buzzer giving Columbia a 32-24 halftime advantage.
THIRD QUARTER:
The Lions continued the momentum into the second half, outscoring Dartmouth 18-7 in the third quarter.
The margin reached as much as 19 at 48-29 with 2:43 on the clock.
Each team only scored two points the rest of the quarter, as Columbia entered the fourth with a 50-31 lead.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Big Green had some strong moments in the fourth — including a five-point run, via a Page layup and Cate MacDonald 3-pointer — to pull within 63-41 with 4:15 remaining.
A Page three later got Dartmouth within 67-46.
A Nasi Simmons layup rounded out the scoring for Columbia, giving her team the 71-48 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Meyer's 16 points bested her previous season high of 14 points set against UMass Lowell and Penn.
Page reached double-figure points for the 16th time this season in 20 games.
As a team, Dartmouth shot 35.6% from the floor (21-of-59), including 20.0% from 3-point range (5-of-25).
Columbia finished at 48.2% (27-of-56) and 33.3% from behind the arc (5-of-15).
The Lions held a 40-30 edge in rebounds.
Each team had 13 offensive boards.
Dartmouth falls to 3-8 at home, compared to 5-4 on the road.
