JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. –
Isabel Kirby recorded her first win for the Big Green as the Dartmouth softball team took down ETSU 9-4 on Sunday from Johnson City.

Kirby recorded four strikeouts while the Big Green recorded 10 hits.

The Bucs got on the board first, notching one run in the first inning off a sacrifice fly. The Big Green responded in the top of the third when an extended at bat for
Jenna Brown resulted in a shot to right field and an RBI with
Marilyn Beauvais crossing the plate after getting on base on a fielding error. The RBI tied the game at 1-1.

ETSU regained a lead in the bottom of the third with a homerun, 2-1 Bucs. The top of the fourth saw five runs for the Big Green. The inning started with a
Justice Malone walk to get a runner on base.
Olivia Schramm hit a single followed by a Hennessy double that scored Malone and advanced Schramm to third. A wild pitch advanced both runners and allowed Schramm to score. A
Cwen Wilson single resulted in an RBI, sending Hennessy home. Later in the inning,
Alaana Panu singled to send another runner home for Dartmouth, 6-2 Big Green.

With momentum going Dartmouth's way, they recorded a one-two-three inning in the bottom of the fourth to put themselves back at the plate. In the bottom of the fifth, ETSU got two runs back, 6-4 Big Green.

The Big Green hits kept coming and Brown and Panu both recorded singles in the top of the sixth but were left stranded. The bottom of the sixth saw another one-two-three for the Big Green.

Three more runs in the top of the seventh capped off the victory for the Big Green. A walk put Malone on first and a Schramm double sent Malone home. Wilson hit a two-run homer to left field, 9-4 Big Green.
