LOS ANGELES, Calif.—The 62^nd ranked Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to No. 73 Loyola Marymount on Wednesday to kick off its California road trip. The Big Green fell 4-1 to the Lions.

Doubles

Denny Bao and Alex Knox-Jones were the first duo to finish doubles with a 6-2 win in third doubles.

Waleed Qadir and Yujiro Onuma played in first doubles but fell 6-3 as the Lions secured the doubles point.

Henry Ren and Miles Groom played in second doubles on Wednesday but fell to their opponents 7-5 as LMU won the doubles point.

Singles

Onuma was the lone member of the Big Green to win a singles match on Wednesday as he played in sixth singles. He won the opening set 6-4 and secured the sweep with a 6-0 win in the second set.

Ren suited up in second singles against LMU. He fell 6-2 in the first set before dropping the match with a 6-4 second set loss.

Hikaru Takeda fell in third singles for the Big Green, he dropped the first set 6-2 and fell 6-2 in the second set.

Knox-Jones was the final member of the Big Green to finish his match in fifth singles. He fell 6-4 in the first set and then 6-3 in the second set.

Groom had a 1-0 set lead following a 7-6 win the first set of fourth singles. He was up 3-1 in the second set when the matched was ended.

Carlos Alvarez Guerrero was locked in a back and forth first singles match when the match was called. He had won the first set 6-3 but fell 6-2 in the second set. The match was ended before the start of the third set.

The Big Green are back in action on Sat. Mar. 22 against UC Irvine at 3 PM ET.
