PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The No. 11 Dartmouth men's squash team made history on Saturday, handing No. 9Â Cornell a 5-4 loss and finishing ninth in the country, its best finish since 2019.Â
This match marks the first time the Big Green has triumphed over an Ivy League opponent in five years, the last being a 6-3 defeat of Cornell on Feb. 1, 2020. Dartmouth returned the favor after falling 6-3 to Cornell earlier this season.Â
Quintin Campbell battled for an hour and 12 minutes at the fourth position, winning his first game 11-9 and losing the following. He had a pair of back-to-back 11-9 wins to clinch the match.Â
Â
Mac Aube also had a lengthy match at the second position, totaling an hour and six minutes of play. He won his first game 11-9 and dropped the second one before bouncing back with two straight wins (11-9, 11-9) to take the match.Â
At the seventh position, Felix Feldman won his first two sets before losing a close 11-9 game to Cornell's Roman Bicknell. Feldman closed the match with his own 11-9 victory.
Callan Venkatesan swept Cornell's Tanay Punjabi 3-0 in a little over 30 minutes at the fifth position. Warren Klein won his match at the ninth position 2-1.Â
