Women's Tennis Falls in Road Match To Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Dartmouth women's tennis team fell 4-0 on the road to Yale on Friday afternoon to open the weekend.

Doubles

The duo of Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore suffered just their third loss of the spring in first doubles. The pair fell 6-3, Moore and Capuano are 14-3 this spring despite the loss.

Brooke Hess and Sam Grosjean teamed up in third doubles, it was their 11^th time playing together this season. The team fell 6-1 as Yale secured the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. Hess and Grosjean move to 6-5 this season as a doubles team.

In second doubles, Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Elise Wong were in a back and forth match with Yale leading 5-3 when the Yale took the doubles point.

Singles

Yale increased its lead to 2-0 following a win in third singles. Dartmouth's Lauren Han fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 she is 10-6 on the season.

Fahrmeier played fourth singles on Friday for Dartmouth, she battled for the Big Green but fell 6-0 in the opening set. In set number two she fell 6-4 as Yale took a 3-0 advantage.

The Bulldogs closed out the match in fifth singles. Caroline Lemcke played a tight first set for Dartmouth but fell 6-3. Lemcke looked to force a third set but fell 6-4 in the second set as Yale took the overall match.

Capuano was slotted in first singles for Dartmouth, she fell 6-3 in the opening set of her match and trailed 5-4 in the second set when the match was ended.

Moore played second singles for Dartmouth and was tied at five in the second set following a 6-2 loss in the first set.

Wong was locked in a battle in sixth singles on Friday. She won the opening set 7-6 and was leading the second set 2-0 when the match was ended.

Dartmouth returns to Boss Tennis Center for the last time this season on Sunday, April 13 as Brown travels to Hanover. Prior to the match, Dartmouth will honor its two seniors, Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Ujvala Jupalli.
