Ren and Beauvais Earn The Richard Group Athletes of the Week Honors

HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth men's tennis player Henry Ren and Dartmouth softball player Marilyn Beauvais have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes, one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week.

Henry Ren, Junior, Vancouver, B.C., Men's Tennis

Ren had a perfect weekend for the Big Green as he went 2-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles. He started the weekend with a 6-4 win in second doubles against Yale, he then completed the 2-0 day with a 7-6, 6-4 win against Yale in second singles. Against Brown he was half of the second doubles team that clinched the doubles point for the Big Green. The junior then completed the perfect weekend with a 6-3,6-2 second singles win to give Dartmouth a 2-0 lead against Brown. Ren is 12-6 this season in singles while having a 10-6 doubles record.

Marilyn Beauvais, First-Year, Catcher, Claremont, Calif., Softball

Beauvais went 7-10 at the plate for the Big Green in the team's 15 inning weekend sweep over Penn. Her hits included five extra base hits with one solo home run. She knocked in seven runs while reaching 14 total bases and scoring four runs. She had a 1.400 slugging percentage with a .700 on-base percentage. In the field, she was perfect with a 1.000 fielding percentage and 18 putouts behind the plate for the Big Green.
