STORRS, Conn. - The Dartmouth men's and women's track and field teams had another successful weekend of split-squad action, making several additions to their respective top ten records lists.
Some athletes competed at the UConn Northeast Challenge in Storrs, Conn., on Friday and Saturday, while others attended the single-day MIT Sean Collier Invitational in Cambridge, Mass.
Jada Jones and Liam Murray, who both hold program records in the 400m, improved their times in the event. Jones shaved 0.58 seconds off her previous record, now holding a 52.99 best, while Murray improved by 0.06 seconds, finishing with a 46.50 mark.Â
Schweitzer won the long jump for the Big Green and earned third all-time in the event with her 5.93m mark. She also recorded a time of 14.11 in the 100m hurdles, clinching the event. DiRocco won the high jump and tied for sixth all-time in the event, clearing 1.73m.Â
Andie Murray won the 800m, finishing with a time of 2:09.26. Bella Pietrasiewicz also had a first-place finish in the 1500m with her 4:27.72 mark.Â
Jack Intihar ran a 10.55 in the 100m, putting him at seventh all-time in the event. He also put up 7013 points in the decathlon, which makes him ninth all-time.Â
On the throwing side, Cate Schelly tied for second all-time in the discus with her 48.03m performance. Colton McMaster clinched the discus for the Big Green with his 51.99m throw.Â
The Big Green are heading to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Penn Relays, which are scheduled from Thursday to Saturday.Â
