NEW YORK — Columbia jumped out to a commanding early lead and wouldn't look back in defeating the Dartmouth women's basketball team, 89-32 on Saturday afternoon.
Zeynep Ozel was a bright spot offensively with 14 points on four made 3-pointers, but 24 Big Green turnovers and 22.0% shooting proved too much to overcome.
Â
Columbia was led by Riley Weiss, who tallied a school-record 40 points on 15-of-23 shooting. The Lions improved to 13-5 and 4-1 in the Ivy League while Dartmouth fell to 9-9 and 0-5 in the league.
Â
Nina Minicozzi added nine points as well for Dartmouth.
Â
Following their third straight road game, the Big Green return home next weekend.
