PRINCETON, N.J. —
Eli Granda and
Alexis Huneau have been named to the Ivy League Player of the Week Honor Roll. The duo helped Dartmouth earn another point in the Ivy standings with a scoreless draw against Yale this past weekend.
Dartmouth is tied for third in the conference with four points and has four Ivy League matches remaining.
Granda was everywhere on the field Saturday night, making his presence felt throughout the match. From his midfield position, he shut down most of Yale's attacking efforts and blocked multiple shots. Offensively, he created multiple chances for the Big Green and recorded one shot of his own. He was also instrumental in helping Dartmouth earn a season-high 10 corners.
Huneau played all 90 minutes for the Big Green and turned in one of his best performances of the season. The senior blocked multiple shots throughout the game in what was a team effort of rallying to the ball. He was not afraid to use his speed and did well to join the offense, creating chances throughout. He finished with one shot in a game in which Dartmouth recorded 13 total shots.
Dartmouth hosts UMass at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Burnham Field. Stick around after the match for autographs from the players. Tickets for the match can be purchased
