PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dartmouth men's basketball team defeated Brown in nailbiting fashion on Saturday night at Pizzitola Sports Center, claiming a 77-70 overtime victory.
Kareem Thomas led the Big Green offense, scoring 17 points and going 10-10 at the free throw line. Connor Amundsen followed behind with 16 points, going 2-3 from beyond the arc and making two free throws. Jackson Munro scored 12 points, while Jayden Williams scored 10.

First Half:
Brown put itself on the board first with a three-pointer that was soon matched by Jackson Munro, but the Bears jumped ahead with as much as a six point lead.
A Brandon Mitchell-Day jumper, along with three made free throws by Williams, allowed the Big Green to take their first lead of the game. The Big Green wouldn't surrender the lead for the rest of the half.
Dartmouth gained as much as a 15 point lead over Brown in the last five minutes of the first, but Brown chipped away at the deficit to bring the score to 37-26 heading into halftime.
Second Half:
With just under 12 minutes left, Landon Lewis had a layup, followed by a Mal Wrisby-Jefferson three-pointer to bring the game within one.
The Bears kept fighting their way back, bringing the game within one point multiple times before the Big Green jumped out to a 9 point lead.
Back-to-back three-pointers by Charlie Osullivan, including one with just 26 minutes left in the second half, forced the game into overtime.
Overtime:
Amundsen opened scoring in overtime with a three-pointer, followed by a Thomas jumper.
The Big Green went on a 7-5 run, capped by an Amundsen made free throw to secure the victory.
