Dartmouth Athletics Announces Leadership Change in Field Hockey Program

HANOVER, N.H. — Mike Harrity, Dartmouth's Haldeman Family Director of Athletics and Recreation, announced that Dartmouth Athletics has parted ways with head field hockey coach Mark Egner.
"Following a comprehensive evaluation of our field hockey program, we have decided that a change in leadership is needed," Harrity said. "We're grateful for Mark's dedication and wish him well."
Egner led the field hockey program since 2020 and posted a 20-61 overall record and a 2-33 record against Ivy League opponents. This past season, the team's record was 4-12, 0-7 in the Ivy League.
A national search for the program's next head coach will begin immediately.
"We are now focused on bringing in a leader who can elevate our program while supporting student-athlete growth on and off the field," Harrity said.
