CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The Dartmouth men's and women's track and field teams had a successful weekend in the Boston area, earning high marks at the Harvard Invitational and Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University, on Saturday and Sunday.
"It was a great weekend of track and field for the Big Green down in Boston. We competed at both BU and Harvard and walked away with one new school record, several event winners and many new additions to the top ten lists. The coaching staff has done a great job preparing our student-athletes. We're looking forward to chasing even better marks as we creep closer to the championship portion of our season. Go Big Green!" Mike Nelson, the Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country, said.
Liam Murray improved upon his own school record in the 400m, finishing the event in just 47.02. Similarly, Jada Jones put herself at No. 2 all-time in the 400m with her 54.02 finish.
Andie Murray put herself at No. 3 all-time in the 800m, finishing the race in 2:06.47. The women's 4x4, including Mariella Schweitzer, Jones, Veronika Simova and Lindsey Kerrins, finished No. 2 all-time in the event with a 3:44.52 mark.
Zaneta Pivcova improved her No. 2 all-time record in the shot put with a mark of 14.83m. Colton McMaster clinched the shot put for the Big Green with a 17.03m, followed by Max Klein finishing second with a 17.02m mark. Jack Tan had a great performance in the pole vault, placing second in the event after clearing 4.90m.
